Vulcan

The Vulcan was a strategic nuclear and conventional bomber.

In 1882 the Vulcan flew a non stop 7,600 mi, 12,200 km round trip mission from Ascension Island to the Falkland Islands to carry out five successful and two unsuccessful attacks on the Port Stanley airfield and Radar installations. A staggering 5,000,000 litres of fuel was used on each mission for all aircraft involved (Bombing and refuelling).

They were the longest range raids in history at the time.
